I never imagined I would one day be asking strangers for help 🥹
For 24 years, I built what I believed would be my family's future. I dedicated my life to my marriage and, above all, to raising my three beautiful children. Today, they are 12, 15, and 17 years old, and they are the reason I keep going every single day.
When my marriage ended, everything changed.
The divorce left me not only heartbroken but also facing overwhelming financial responsibilities. My former husband is now unemployed, and I have become the only parent providing for our children. Every school expense, every grocery bill, every utility payment, every unexpected cost falls on my shoulders alone.
Like many parents, I have always believed that my children should never have to carry the weight of adult problems. I smile when they need reassurance, I encourage them to dream big, and I do everything I can to make our house feel like a safe place, even when I lie awake at night wondering how I will pay the next bill.
The hardest part has been the financial burden left behind after my marriage. Despite working hard and doing everything I can to stay afloat, I am still struggling with debts that have become impossible to overcome on my own. Month after month, I find myself choosing which urgent expense has to wait. It is exhausting, and I have reached the point where I must admit that I cannot do this alone anymore.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have always tried to solve my problems on my own, but sometimes strength also means knowing when it's time to reach out.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping us reduce this financial burden, keep up with essential household expenses, and provide stability for my children during these important teenage years. More than anything, I want them to focus on school, friendships, and building their future - not on worrying about whether their mother can keep everything together.
