My name is Natalia, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart
to ask for help for my beloved big sister, Svetlana.
Svetlana is 49 years old and she is a devoted physician
specializing in the treatment of tuberculosis and lung disease, a
loving mother of three children, and someone who has spent her
entire life caring for others. For many years, she has dedicated
herself to helping patients through some of the most difficult and
serious illnesses with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment.
Today, she is the one fighting for her life.
Svetlana has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML),
an aggressive form of blood cancer, and she is currently in the
Intensive Care Unit. Her condition is critical, and she faces a long
and extremely difficult battle ahead.
In addition to being a dedicated physician, Svetlana is also a
mother of three children. One of her children lives with cerebral
palsy and requires lifelong care and daily support. Her family needs
her, and we are doing everything possible to give her the best
chance to survive and recover.
Doctors are working tirelessly to stabilize her condition, and
there is hope. One of the most important treatment options being
considered is a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant. I am currently
undergoing HLA-typing in the hope that I may be a compatible donor
for my sister.
The funds raised will help cover essential treatment-related
expenses, bone marrow transplant costs, medications, and other
unexpected medical and supportive care expenses connected to this
life-saving treatment.
This is an incredibly painful and overwhelming time for our
family, but we are not giving up hope.
