My name is Eileen F. Lambert — and this is my ask.
I am the Chapter Leader of Women in Tech® Seattle, a 2,500 member chapter affiliate of Women in Tech® Global— a movement dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology worldwide. For years, I have poured my heart into building this community: organizing events, amplifying women's voices in tech, mentoring emerging leaders, and creating belonging for women navigating the Pacific Northwest tech ecosystem.
That work has been seen. And now, I've been personally invited as a Special Guest to the Women in Tech Global Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, April 28–30, 2026 — in recognition of our Seattle Chapter being recognized as a top performing chapter within the global organization. That recognition comes with something remarkable: our Summit registration, accommodations, and offsite excursions have been fully comped. The one thing standing between me and that stage is airfare from Seattle to Cape Town.

✨ What This Summit Means — For All of Us

Our chapter has hosted events spanning International Women's Day, Female Founders, Career Advancement, Financial Literacy and many more — including being invited to meet with a Tokyo Government delegation for a thought leadership sit down with Tokyo Vice Governor Ms. Akiko Matsumoto on Women Empowerment Initiatives we both lead in our respective cities. We show up. We lead. And now the world is inviting us to learn and lead on a broader, more expansive global scale. And you're invited to help us get there.
💙 Here's the Honest Part
Right now, I am actively job searching and pivoting from consulting (which has taken an economic hit) to pursuing a full time role within the Impact space, with a preference towards a leadership role in Climate Communications and Program Management. Like so many in today's challenging market, my search continues — and as much as this invitation means to me, I am not in a position to self-fund the cost of international airfare from Seattle to Cape Town.
Further limiting my budget at this time is that I am currently enrolled in a rigorous Global Leadership Forum Cohort for Senior Leaders with global and social impact dimensions to their work. I enrolled in the program with Women in Tech Seattle in mind — as a direct commitment to growing as a globally-minded leader and developing skills and connections to further deepening my impact. Even with a partial scholarship, the program investment makes community support for attending this Global Summit not just appreciated, but truly needed.
I have given freely to this community for years — showing up, organizing, advocating, and opening doors. I am now asking my community to show up for me.
I refuse to let a funding gap be the reason Women in Tech Seattle goes unrepresented at the Global Summit.

🌱 Who I Am, Beyond the Ask
I am a Latine Community Builder, Impact MarComms & Program Management Strategist, Climate Storyteller and Nature Based Educator. My work sits at the intersection of multi-community leader and builder, social impact strategist, climate storyteller and advocate, and nature educator. I lead with purpose, lift up underrepresented voices and show up with authenticity and integrity.
