I'm raising funds for a talented female artist from Afghanistan. She is part of a family who is stuck in limbo after Germany broke its promises of protection for Afghan human rights defenders. Like many others, they left everything behind and sold their possessions to travel to Pakistan in the hope of evacuated.

However, it now seems that their years of waiting were in vain, as the new German government is working to dismantle all humanitarian evacuation programmes. To make matters worse, the artist and her family can barely leave their accommodation these days, as they risk being deported back to Afghanistan, where they would face poverty and mortal danger.

In this bleak situation, her art has become a source of solace and hope, which she has shared with other refugees by giving painting lessons. Unfortunately, she has now run out of painting supplies. The aim of this fundraiser is to help her restock her supplies so that she can continue practising her art while her family figures out their next steps.
