My name is Patrouious Achatz, born on December 13, 1993, to an American-born mother and a German-born father. My father holds a Green Card and has chosen not to pursue U.S. citizenship, which qualifies me for dual citizenship by descent. 

I aspire to secure German citizenship as a protective measure in the event that conditions in the U.S. deteriorate further. As a proud transgender man currently employed as a Behavioral Technician in Ohio, I face numerous challenges due to legislation that targets the Trans and LGBTQ+ communities. The U.S. government is actively working to erase transgender identities, as evidenced by the alteration of official language on websites, such as the omission of TQ+ in favor of LGB on the National Parks webpages for the Stonewall Monument. 

The confirmation of RFK Jr. as Secretary for Health and Human Services is particularly concerning given his anti-vaccine stance and propagation of unfounded conspiracy theories. He has suggested that individuals requiring mental health medication might find themselves in Labor Camps, which evokes the horrific treatment of marginalized groups during the Nazi era. Many Americans, including veterans, rely on mental health medications to cope with their challenges.

Conditions in the U.S. are worsening, characterized by escalating grocery and gas prices. Members of the transgender community have suffered the loss of their passport documents, with some being confiscated or returned in a damaged state. Additionally, Elon Musk’s management of taxpayer funds raises concerns about the security of our social security information. However, I would prefer not to delve further into this issue.

I am seeking to raise funds for legal expenses to obtain my German citizenship, which is estimated to cost around €5000. Any remaining funds will be allocated towards other essential documents, such as a Visa, to assist with my relocation and employment in Germany during this process. 

Given the current economic climate in the U.S., even working two jobs does not provide a sufficient income to support this important endeavor.
