A trio of nuggets needed/needs some vetting....
Tyson went in for his annual exam, vaccines & blood work. Because he had gotten so sick last weekend he had a full spectrum panel done, he received some medications that have helped his belly too. Unfortunately, when his blood results came in it showed his heartworm status as positive again. Since he completed treatment and already had a negative result, Dr. T would like to get a special blood test done to make sure it isn't a false positive before putting him through another round of heartworm treatment. She has order the kit and Tyson will go in next week for the new test. ***Paws Crossed**
Hobbes had an incredible allergy issue going on that we just couldn't get ahead of with medications, baths and homemade sprays. He was scratching his head and face up pretty badly so we took him in to get some relief. He got a shot that has done wonders for him, he is soooo much more comfortable now. He also received some medication to help with the infection he gave himself while scratching.
Mystic goes in next week for her yearly. We will also be learning how to administer a new medication to hopefully bring her some relief in that left hip as it is always hurting her and giving out. There is an injection, that will work with the other meds and supplements that has good results and both Dr. T & Dr. H feel it's the only other thing to offer her some comfort. She continues on the daily #snotmonster medication, even with it's high cost, as it it working so well for her. She has occasional drips of snot but nothing like what it was and you can see she is feeling the difference.
