Dear Friends and Guests of SiDive, Coral Sea and Diventure Dive shops in Mactan.
Due to coronavirus all of our dive shops have been closed since March
22 and we have been unable to make a living since then. Initially the
lockdown was supposed to end on April 30 but it was extended and then
extended again and again. With no end in sight the situation is now
becoming desperate for ourselves and for our staff and their families.
We were able to help our staff for the first few months but now
we are really struggling. The government has not offered us any help.
There is no furlough and no welfare here. Now there is no end in
sight and we will be lucky to see a resumption of tourists before
2021. Some think that tourists will not return in significant numbers
until a year from now.
With a heavy heart we are appealing for help. Any donations will
be gratefully accepted which we will foremost use to help our staff
and their families for food and medicines. This includes Earl, Rene,
Ronil and Alfred. Anything left over we will distribute equally
between TJ, Cherrie Reynolds and ourselves to help us also with our
day to day living expenses and rent.
We hope you can support us through these difficult months ahead. Any contribution however small will be appreciated.
When this is all over we hope to see you again.
