Youth Rising Up are students organizing students to cultivate pride at North Division High School by improving the quality of life and learning at school and in the surrounding communities for people of color.
This group provides youth the appropriate tools to make change in a positive manner using their voice for planning and leading events and actions in and out of school.
The students collaborate with other youth groups, activists and organizations in the city of Milwaukee working to make positive change in their communities addressing social justice issues our students, their families and people of color in general face in our city.
The group focuses on these skills: Social justice, leadership development, service learning, community service, civic awareness and participation.
We are not funded and need your support. Money raised would be used for transportation, food, art supplies, and attire.
Youth Rising Up has made positive impacts at the school level and in the community. They care deeply for others and want to continue to make change. They are not paid for what they do and work out of passion for change. Please consider helping us achieve these goals by removing the financial burden that comes along with activism!
