My name is Chantelle Mackney, I am the founder of Justice for Bullies. I am also a responsible dog owner of 3 beautiful dogs.

On August 18, 2015 I was ticketed by bylaw of a different municipality for an event in which we were nowhere near, did not take part in and are innocent of.

An incident occurred with a human and a dog in which we are being accused of, while the real offenders are still out there.

This has resulted in Mr. Magoo going into a standard 10 day quarantine period, myself having to obtain legal representation with a reduced price tag of $6,000.00 and a nightmare of a journey to fight to prove our innocence.

Despite having witnesses, signed affidavits, and being at a confirmed location we are going to trial on February 10, 2016.

Until more comes out of the disclosure and the investigations I do not know if this is a case of mistaken identity, or if this is indeed a malicious act due to my involvement in the anti-bsl world.

If I could express in words the damage this has done mentally and emotionally I would. There is no comfort in knowing that our judicial system treats you as guilty until you prove your innocence. There is no comfort in knowing someone can have you charged based off a photo that circulated the globe. There is no comfort in knowing my dog’s life has been put at risk due to false, damaging and harmful accusations.

While I am fighting to prove our innocence, an irresponsible dog owner is free to be guilty and sit back and watch as more and more victims are created because of their lack of responsible ownership. This has been a complete waste of time, efforts and resources. These efforts should have been placed on finding the human, and dog responsible for this event to ensure that it never happens again.
