Hi, My name is Tammy Beckett-Roach and my journey with juicing start 3 years ago after receiving the news that I had breast cancer again. I had known about juicing and my husband & I had even done a little now and then. We never made it a regular part of our diet, because it just seemed like too much trouble. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2010, I came across many articles about the importance of consuming fresh squeezed juices to help the body heal by giving it concentrated nutrition. I also learned that when juicing (not blending) on an empty stomach, all of the concentrated nutition is able to feed the cells in a powerful way because the digestive system is resting when there is not fiber involved. I knew in my soul that juicing needed to become a MAJOR priorty after the second diagnosis in 2012 and has been a huge part of my cancer regime. I would love to share some of the things I have learned over the past 3 years to help you be able to make Juicing a part of your life too!
We will be making 3 different juices and I will have some awesome information for you to take home with many web site resources, suggested movies & documentaries to watch along with helpful hints on how to make this a daily part of your life without loosing your mind and some additional "Super Food" suggestions to add to your diet ;-) You will be able to leave the in-store "class room" and go right into Natural Grocers to purchase what you need to get started, including a juicer if you don't already have one. They now carry a couple of the Breville line of juicers and they are fabulous!
