The devastation is hard to understand and the relief efforts are heroic across the country, but Albuera is small and easily overlooked by the large international agencies.  This is why we ask for your gift of money so that we can directly help people in Albuera and the neighboring barrios.  I grew up in Albuera, it's my home, and we have a deep connection to the community and the people. We are committed to ensuring your gift is spent in Albuera, for those suffering, to help our neighbors in need.

We already made a large purchase of food with money raised in the first few days. This food was distributed to 750 families in need.  In addition to providing food aid, we are also focusing on rebuilding. We need your help to raise enough money to help the vast number of people left without safe homes to rebuild their lives.
