Annabelle Huestis - diagnosed 9/11/13

Annabelle was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on 9/11/13 at age 20 months.  We had no idea what was wrong; she was just very pale and was vomitting everything (sorry for the detail).  We ended up racing to the ER with a barely concious baby. At 20 months, we had no idea she could be diabetic.  Since her diagnosis, we have learned so much more about Type 1 diabetes and how it affects everything in not only Annabelle's life, but our whole family.  Annabelle has a 17 year old sister that will be attending Texas A&M next year (Mom is Class of '93, Dad is '95) to study Biochemistry, she hopes to help find a cure for her sister's diabetes.

Unfortunately, Annabelle experiences hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) almost every day.  Since she can't tell us what she is feeling, a diabetic alert dog (DAD) that alerts on those dangerous highs and lows will help better manage her diabetes, and possibly save her life.  Any and all amounts are sincerely appreciated and will go directly towards the cost of Anabelle's DAD.

Thank you for your consideration!! Gig 'em :)

These are AWESOME. Made from vintage dictionaries, the words are under glass and come with an angel wing and pearl charm (let me know if you want a special charm for $5 extra). These make great Christmas gifts!
