As some of you may already know, on May 22nd, 2013, Christine Caron, an amazing mother of four, was hospitalized with life-threatening septicaemia (septic shock). As a result, Christine suffered from disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), widespread internal hemorrhaging, and she unfortunately had to have both legs amputated below the knee and below the elbow amputation on her left arm. There is still much hope for her right hand and she is determined to keep it and is currently awaiting surgery for debridement and skin grafts on that hand. Christine has remained positive and extremely strong throughout this whole ordeal. Be that it may, many of you have expressed your desire to help out and we have thus decided to set up a donations page. Seeing as Christine has no insurance, the money would go towards hospital bills, medication, prosthetics, and home renovations (such as lifts, wheelchair ramps, etc.). No amount is too small and any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. It may be a long road to recovery, but our loving mother/ sister/ daughter/ aunt/ friend’s spirits have not dampened and both she and the Caron family are, again, so thankful for all your support and love. Thank you.
