Nan is a 10 year old 5.9 lb Chihuahua that was rescued by TCWN and myself from PACC a few months ago. Nan has been doing awesome and I just adopted her a few weeks ago..... along with her brother Stan. (foster failures) Nan woke up Tuesday morning with what looked like a terrible eye infection. It turns out that she had an ulcer that perforated her eye. It will not get better and needs to be removed. She may possibly need the other one removed in the future as well. It is unknown what has caused her eye problems, but she is a very, very active little girl. She runs, plays, and bosses most of the other dogs around, nothing stops this girl, even her blindness. I'd say this girl has at least 8 or 10 years left in her. We first thought we would lose Nan, but she isn't ready to go and our AMAZING Vet, Dr. Alan at Oracle Road Pet Clinic is going to remove the eye this Monday. Not sure of cost and he is not even worried about it, but he does so much for TCWN and so many others that I really think he should at least get compensated for his supplies and time. If you would like to help offset Nan's medical expenses, please donate via Pay Pal to me or you can send a donation directly to Oracle Road Pet Clinic, 10825 N Oracle Rd, suite 101, Tucson, AZ 85737. Any money not used for Nan will be put towards medical expense for other rescued pets from PACC. Thank you!!!!!
