Help Rodrigo and his family recover after Bopha

Rodrigo Labastida is the chairman of the Baganga Rubber Planters Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Baganga, Davao Oriental on the island of Mindanao. In 1992 he encouraged members of the local farming community there to start growing Rubber Trees in order to create greater opportunity and income. There are now nearly 150 farmers and their families who depend on the harvest of the Rubber Trees to support their families. Unfortunately on Tuesday December 4th Super Typhoon Bopha made landfall at Baganga with winds of 150mph+ This has resulted in the damage and destruction of 95% of the structures in the region including that of Rodrigo. There is also severe damage to the Rubber, coconut, and banana trees in the area that so many depend on for their livelihood. In fact, the entire rubber plantation owned by Rodrigo and the other members of the co-op was totally destroyed.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rodrigo and his family earlier this year as part of a project for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Part of that project was to interview entrepreneurs in the region and to publish their stories in a trade magazine distributed by DTI. Rodrigo has done a great service to his community by introducing a new commodity to Baganga in an effort to better the lives of those around him. Unfortunately the progress of recent years has been set back considerably by this storm. Of immediate concern it to have the home of Rodrigo and his family rebuilt and to also repair damage that has occurred to the cooperatives processing facility. They along with others in the community are also in desperate need for food, water, and clothing.
I am attempting to raise enough money to rebuild the home of Rodrigo and his family and to also make repairs to the co-op's processing facility. In addition, I am currently preparing a truckload of essential supplies to aid not only Rodrigo's family, but many others in the Baganga area. I am hoping to have a full load to ship by this weekend.
Here are some of the items requested by Dr. Morales during my most recent trip to Baganga. They are desperately needed at the Baganga Hospital:
Pediatric Infusion Sets
Intravenous Dextrose Solution
Amoxicillin
Imodium
Tin for the roof (Even two weeks after the storm the roof of the Hospital is still open)
In the longer term I am hoping to raise enough to replant the Rubber trees which have been the only source of livelihood for Rodrigo. Saplings cost around 55 cents each and there are 500 saplings needed per hectare. One hectare produces enough harvest each month to provide 98,000 pesos (About$2,400) per month in income for Rodrigo and the other members of the co-op. Together they have a total of 50 hectares that will have to be replanted.
