The Friends of Allen Fireall request your support for Savannah, GA native and Gullah folk artist, Allen Fireall. An award-winning, prolific painter, Allen is now destitute and suffering from congestive heart failure. Without a heart transplant, he has only been given six months to live. He also suffers from diabetes which has left him legally blind in one eye. He is also raising his two teenage daughters. His contributions to our national cultural landscape are immeasureable, and we need your support. The funds will be used to supplement his income while he waits to be added to the transplant list. Allen's work is sought after by collectors all over the United States with a growing international following. Allen was also named by Coastal Art and Antiques as one of Savannah’s Top Five to Collect for 2005. He has been the poster winner for The Hilton Head Island Gullah Celebration in 2007, 2009 and 2011. His work can be found in local galleries throughout Savannah and Hilton Head and was also featured in the 2008 Warner Brothers' film, Nights in Rodanthe, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
