Hi, we're Leonardo (40, teacher and gas fitter) and Ayelén (27). Ayelén is 6 months pregnant. Our baby will be here in about 3 months.

Right now, we're living at a relative's house. It's small, it's not ours, and we have to leave in December. That's our deadline.

Ayelén lost her job because her contract ended and they didn't renew it. She's pregnant, so no one wants to hire her. We're living on just my income now. It's enough to eat, but not enough to build a house.

Our own house is a 9 meter by 3.5 meter piece of land. We worked so hard, but we only managed to raise one meter of wall. That's it. No roof, no bathroom, no kitchen, no room for the baby. Just a dream and one meter of wall.

Here's what we need the US$10,000 for:

- US$5,000 for building materials: Bricks, cement, roof tiles, pipes, wires, sand. Everything to finish the walls, put on the roof, and get a solid floor.
- US$2,500 for the basics: A simple but clean bathroom, a kitchen with a counter, and one room for the baby. Nothing fancy, just enough to live.
- US$2,500 for urgent debts: Credit card and a personal loan that keep us up at night. Paying these will let us breathe and focus 100% on the house.

If we don't reach the goal, we'll spend every cent on materials and debts anyway. Nothing will go to waste.

We're not asking for luxuries. We're asking for a hand so our baby isn't born into someone else's house. Every brick we buy with your help will be part of that child's first home.

I've always worked as a teacher and gas fitter. But this time, life got too hard. Pregnancy costs, old debts, Ayelén losing her job because she's pregnant, and trying to build a house from zero. That's why we're asking for help.
