Who Is Mama Fiyah?
Mama Fiyah (Pearline Wolfe) was born in Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. She is the daughter of Bongo David Wolfe and Rubi Edward (affectionately known as Dawta’s Mama). Mama Fiyah was fortunate to be born to parents who played pivotal roles in the early development of Rastafari in Jamaica. Her father, Bongo David, was the brother of Solomon Wolfe, who took part in the first delegation to Ethiopia after His Imperial Majesty granted land to the African diaspora in the Shashemane region. Bongo David welcomed HIM Haile Selassie I Jah Rastafari during His visit to Jamaica. Her mother, Rubi Edward, was a revered figure in the community, known for nurturing kindness and feeding those in need, as well as caring for those afflicted with mental health challenges, earning her the endearing title of Dawta's Mama.
Mama Fiyah faces all tribulations with remarkable strength and determination. Even in her battle against uterus cancer in 2013, she miraculously lost no hair or dreadlocks during her month of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. With her dedication to consuming nourishing green juices infused with miracle plants, coconut water, and unwavering faith, Mama Fiyah exemplified resilience, inspiring all who know and love her. She is a living legend, the eldest Rastafari baby, one of the first children born within the Rastafari faith. Mama Fiyah has upheld the principles of the Rastafari lifestyle, setting an extraordinary example for us all. She produces natural coconut oil along with King Man Fayabun, along with delightful Roots Tonic, Ganjah Wine, and Ital food—all made with love! We honor Mama Fiyah as the Queen Mother of Rastafarians. Her enduring strength stands in giving thanks for life to the Almighty HIM Emperor Haile Selassie I Jah Rastafari!
Give a Thanks beloved ones!
