About Me

My name is Olesya. I’m an artist and a volunteer. I was born and spent all my life in Kyiv, Ukraine. When Russia started a full-scale war 2 months ago І decided to stay in Kyiv to help as much as I can to defend my home city. 

Since the early days of the war, I joined independent Ukrainian media and every evening I prepare daily news summary about the war in Ukraine in order to spread the truth. As during the day I still have a few spare hours I want to use my skills as an artist and a manager for extra help.

My Aim 

I want to raise money for Ukrainian Zoos and animal shelters as some of them remained unfunded because of the war and animals are just starving and dying there. In addition, many pets were left homeless due to the war. Lots of animals were already evacuated abroad but most of them are still in Ukraine and they need help. There is a Zoo or a shelter, or even several almost in each city of Ukraine. I understand that I can’t cover all of them but I’ll do my best.

I’m already in touch with a few shelters, as I supported them before with my own money, and through other volunteers. All the money raised will go directly to the shelters and zoos or the food will be provided.

Any amount will be welcomed with the big gratitude.
