Many of us have known the Harper family since we were wee little tots living in South Lyon. The Harpers were like a town fixture that everyone knew and loved. Mrs. Harper was like the town Mom; our lunch lady and babysitter for many.
Sadly, Brenda and her son have been hit pretty hard the last 2 years. As we all recall, her beloved brother, (and respected Novi Police Officer) took his life. As if that blow wasn’t enough, just months ago Brenda lost her best friend - her Mother.
While struggling through the depression and grief, a barrage of health issues plagued Brenda, with the most recent incident requiring removal of her spleen.
While incapable of working, (she still has a 10 pound weight restriction) bills didn’t get paid. It’s a feeling many of us have known at one time or another. So I’m asking that we come together to help out our old friend and neighbor to help get her through this rough patch, so that she can get life back on track.
To bring the family back to a manageable place, these are the amounts that are overdue and must be paid ASAP to avoid further issues that will just create an even bigger downward spiral.
1. Car payment: $211 Due ASAP to avoid repo
2. Car insurance : $450 to avoid cancellation
3. Unpaid portion of house payment: $350
