WHO: We are six students from the University of Utah’s Department of
Modern Dance in Salt Lake City, Utah:

We will be accompanied by our professor, Shaun Boyle.
WHAT: We need your help! We are extremely excited as this summer we
have the opportunity to travel to Leeds, England as part of an
exchange with students of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
However, as college students in a somewhat large research university,
we wind up spending a lot of money on classes, room and board, healthy
food for our active lifestyles, and transportation. That leaves us
with very little to pay for a plane ticket to England that costs
around $1,500 on most airlines. This is where YOU come in. We would
tremendously appreciate any support support you can offer to help us
afford the costs involved in participating in this exchange.
WHY: This experience will broaden our creative
scope as dancers and art makers, as well as be a means for becoming
more empathetic with other young people that have both similar and
different backgrounds from our own. We are eager to travel abroad and
not become complacent in our familiar community; we are eager to be
challenged and inspired by new ideas about dance, life and culture!
HOW TO HELP: Any financial support you can provide
will be of great help to us all! Our goal is to raise $3,000 which
would give each of us $500. This amount would significantly reduce
travel expenses, as well as alleviate the financial stress of paying
for a study abroad experience.
WHEN: Deadline for donations is June 22nd. The count down has
