My sister was admitted to the hospital on September 2 2013. She was diagnosed having Sepsis. Basically her stomach exploded from an Perforated Ulcer. She was in Septic shock and almost lost her life. She spent 17 days on life support. The doctors were unsure if she would survive. Before my sister was admitted into the hospital she led a very normal life. Her and her husband both work full time. They have a beautiful 8 year old daughter at home. My sister is a loving, caring person who loves life and loves her 8 year old daughter more than anything. You see .. their story is amazing and im going to tell you all about it.. My sister and her husband Sean dated many years ago when they were a lot younger and eventually went went their separate ways and had different lives. My sister got married and tried several times to have a baby.. the one thing she dreamed of more than anything in this world was becoming a mommy. Unfortunately she was unable to carry a baby and suffered many miscarriages. . it was heartbreaking to see her losing her dream. Some years later my sister got a divorce because her husband became very abusive. She decided to just focus on work and dedicated her time to her job and doted on all of her nieces and nephews.. it hurt to see the pain in her eyes knowing how much she wanted to be a mommy but knowing it might never be. . Well God had something else in mind.. Linda was working one day and Sean walked back into her life. . Bringing with him this beautiful shy little 4 year old girl.. his daughter.. her name is Kayla. Sean and Kayla were on their own in life because Kaylas mom walked out on them leaving them alone. Sean and Linda became friends and talked alot.. and realized that they belonged together and they became a family. My sisters life has never been the same since. She smiles all the time. Especially when she talks about HER daughter Kayla. You can see the light shining bright in her eyes. .She is a mommy.. and Kayla loves her mommy so much. . You couldn't ever tell they weren't biologically connected.. they have a stronger connection. . They are connected with their hearts and the love they share for eachother.. They need each other so much.. Since my sister has been in the hospital Sean has been working his full time job to support their daughter while trying to figure out their bills and the hospital bills are extreme.. I drive daily to see my sister in the hospital because I don't want her to be alone. This is 70 miles for me daily. She has months of rehabilitation ahead of her. She might not even be able to return to work and if she does its going to possibly be months. Ive watched my sister almost die.. I've watched her be in more pain than anyone should have to be..I've watched her almost give up.. I wouldn't let her.. and now I'm watching her fight to live and fight to get her life back.
