I have always complained about what bad luck I have. I do as much as I can for my friends and family, and feel like karma is slacking on the reimbursement, and would NEVER meet someone with as bad of luck as I have....until I met Miss Holly Lanie. ...
I have always complained about what bad luck I have. I do as much as I can for my friends and family, and feel like karma is slacking on the reimbursement, and would NEVER meet someone with as bad of luck as I have....until I met Miss Holly Lane. Well, honestly, I've never even met her. She was my sisters instructor at a college that shall remain unnamed. Why would I go through so much for someone
I don't know? I haven't had a story or situation touch my heart so deeply until I chose to get involved in this one.
This is a woman who was a healthcare provider (nurse) for 17 years, wherein doing this job, she was injured and practically lost her arm. Spent 2 years as a representative for the Healthcare union to help protect workers and their rights. From there, she became a teacher, which she did for 5 years. In that 5 years she was awarded the Most Passionate Teacher award in 2011. A person who, when she see's a terrible accident while out driving, stops and runs to do what she can to help. Comes home covered in someone elses blood and worries if they're ok, expects nothing in return. She makes me realize how much more I could be doing for other people, and that my expecting things in return is selfish, and I should be more selfless.
Now at this point, I already have the utmost respect for this woman. Everything I have ever heard about her from her students is what an amazing teacher she was, to the point that students are actually dropping due to her absence from the school. She goes to the Doctor because she has a sore throat, finds out she has cancer....
