The main goal of the Tsavo Cheetah Project is to protect and conserve the cheetah population of the Tsavo ecosystem through ongoing scientific research and monitoring and integrative community education and outreach. For effective protection of the cheetah and other local predators to occur, support and cooperation from local residents is fundamental. Therefore viable and sustainable; conservation sensitive solutions on the livestock predation issue must be developed, and education on predator behavior ecology continued and expanded Data and reports submitted by TCP to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) assist with law enforcement of illegal activities such as poaching and killing of the cheetah and other wildlife and in the planning of national strategy for the species. Funds raised through FundRazr will enable our field activities on the ground, by providing the project with funds for modest camp fees, salary for local field assistants and petrol for our vehicle. All of these, and other, funding needs are imperative to the existence of our field work and consequently, cheetah conservation in the Tsavo region of Kenya.

This exquisite art print is the work of Kenyan artist Anthony Russell. Endorsed by the Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood, you can view Anthony’s current gallery and read more about him and his artwork at: http://www.anthonyrussellart.com/ The cheetah print for auction is approx. 2 ft. x 2.8'' ft. and can either come framed or left for the buyer to decide. “I would think if you went to auction this, the value is about USD$5000 as a print. We could give a certificate of authenticity to the Art once you have a buyer.” – Anthony Russell
