If you know Nite, then you know baseball isn’t just a sport to him—it’s his whole heart.
Nite is 15 years old, from a small town, and has loved baseball for as long as I can remember. When he was just 2½ years old, his dad was coaching his older brother’s baseball team. His older brother is 4 years older than him, so Nite was still just a tiny little boy, but he never wanted to leave the field. He was always right there beside his dad and his brother, carrying a baseball around, watching every practice, and wanting to be part of it all. That’s where his love for the game started, and it has only grown stronger every year since.
As his parents, we couldn’t be more proud of the young man he is becoming. Nite is respectful, responsible, kind, and always willing to help others. He has a huge heart and truly cares about people. He is the kind of kid who notices when someone needs help and steps in without being asked. He helps with youth baseball whenever he can, working with younger catchers, encouraging them, and giving back to the game that has given him so much.
His dad has spent countless hours over the years teaching him, training him, and helping him grow into the catcher and player he is today. They have put in long days, late evenings, and endless hours on the field. Through it all, baseball has built something special between them—a bond that can never be broken. Some of their best memories are from those moments together on a baseball field, just working, learning, and loving the game side by side.
Nite also plays football, but baseball is where he truly comes alive and shines. There is nowhere he would rather be than behind home plate. As a freshman last year, he earned a spot on the varsity baseball team and was chosen to be their catcher. He can play every position on the field, but catching is where he shines the most and where his passion really shows.
This year, something truly special happened. At only 15 years old, Nite was chosen to play on an 18U travel baseball team. To be selected at such a young age to compete with older, more experienced players says everything about his work ethic, attitude, and talent. He shows up, puts in the work, and earns every opportunity he gets.
Nite has always dreamed big. He dreams of playing college baseball at the University of Tennessee and one day hearing his name called in the MLB Draft. We know those are big dreams for a kid from a small town, but he has never let that stop him. He keeps working, keeps showing up, and keeps believing.
As parents, all we want is to help him chase that dream.
That is why we are starting this fundraiser.
Travel baseball opens doors, but it also comes with a lot of costs that are hard for our family to manage alone right now. This season includes tournaments that are hours away, another that is more than 6 hours away, and even an out-of-state tournament. Between gas, lodging, food, hydration, nutrition, and possibly a couple baseball camps, the expenses add up quickly.
All donations will go directly toward helping Nite get to these opportunities and continue growing as a player. Every trip, every game, and every rep on the field matters for his future.
As parents, we know there are no guarantees in sports. We don’t know exactly where this journey will take him. But what we do know is that Nite has worked incredibly hard for every opportunity he has earned, and we want to do everything we can to help him chase the dream he’s had since he was that little boy standing on a baseball field with his dad and his big brother.
We understand not everyone is able to give, and that is okay. Even sharing this fundraiser means more than we can say.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read Nite’s story. Thank you for believing in a hardworking young man with a big heart and big dreams. Your support, prayers, encouragement, and kindness mean everything to our family.
Every bit of help brings Nite one step closer to the future he has been working toward since the very beginning.
