Greetings everyone! Allow me to bore you a little bit...
My real name is Oleh (Oleg), and I'm - to put it mildly - a niche freelance graphic designer/writer from Ternopil, Ukraine, who often goes by the pseudonym Devin Coy.

The fiasco happened to me on New Year's Eve when, due to the frequent unscheduled power outages caused by the ongoing war in our country, my old beast of a computer finally died, leaving me with no way of earning any more money, let alone celebrating the aforementioned holiday. Yes, I know, it's not as dramatic and sad as all those stories about people whose houses have been destroyed by an artillery shell, and probably nobody really cares, but when your entire income depends on you having a rather expensive piece of equipment, and you can't even get a normal office job without it, it makes the situation quite a bit more problematic... War, of course, rarely leaves a pleasant aftertaste on a country's economy, but it particularly affects its poorest regions, one of which I was fortunate enough to be born in and still live in.
My initial idea of just taking the first job I could find and quickly buying myself a new piece of equipment soon faded away when I realised that thanks to our currently fragile economy I would be working for the equivalent of $300 a month, while spending most of that amount on now significantly more expensive food and utilities, that's of course in addition to saving the remaining pennies for a new workstation, which, contrary to all stereotypes, is not much cheaper to buy here than in the United States, for example. The prospects are terrific of course, but I mean...
A lot of time has passed since the initial incident and the situation is deteriorating rapidly. At the moment I'm stuck in kind of a vicious circle where I can't really get anyone to help me, and because I can't even run my own business properly, I can barely make ends meet, let alone pay my bills (it turns out electricity costs money now???). I am slowly but surely searching for a suitable solution and am not going to stop doing it, and yet, in this situation support from the outside could really elevate and free me from the extra year of slave labor weaving behind me, jostling in the crowd of all the other ungodly problems I was lucky enough to bring along with me...
But a little bit of the good stuff... If I do raise the necessary amount of money and finally get back the opportunity to do what I love, it will allow me to continue developing some potentially interesting projects. One of these projects being "Incorporated".
"Incorporated" is a franchise I started developing way back in 2012. While originally conceived as a story and setting for the comic book of the same name, the project went through some major development hell and even after countless iterations remained in the ideation phase. Recently, however, the franchise has begun to acquire some visual development and is slowly moving towards something. At least that's how it was before I lost my job... So what's it going to be? I don't really know at this point, but I don't think it's a comic book anymore... As my career has grown, I've started to gravitate more towards filmmaking, and maybe that's where this project belongs.
The setting itself is a dark contemporary science fiction that borrows some elements of political satire while telling the stories of ordinary people from different walks of life and places who happen to come into contact with supernatural occurrences somehow connected to the activities of clandestine corporations. The plot and the setting were heavily inspired by TV shows like X-files and the work of horror writers like Stephen King, for the most part, however, it is still something really new and unexplored...I mean... It says something when while being a glass-half-empty person I have confidence in this project.

But let's be honest. No, buying a new computer is not going to produce an entire TV show or a movie. But it will definitely give me the opportunity to at least start moving in that (if any) direction. Whether or not it will work out, God only knows, but I will definitely try to do my best.
