The Tory Government is refusing to negotiate and compromise with the various Unions who are quite fairly and reasonably asking for a pay increase above the rate of inflation, in order that their members can be paid a fair wage with the cost of living soaring and energy prices going through the roof.
As a result of the stubbornness of the Government to refuse to come to the table with a fair deal, we have to unfortunately take the action of going on strike - from Railway Workers, Bus Workers and National Highways Traffic Officers to Nurses and Ambulance Workers.
Whilst we all accept that Ukraine needs help and support from the UK, the people of the UK also need the help and support of its Government and not to be ignored or treated as 'pariahs' for asking for what is fair and just. In addition, we are also being unfairly painted in a negative light by the right-wing Media who are trying to frame us as 'enemies of the state' when it is the Government who has the power and could end this madness at any point they choose.
As the 'Minimum Service Levels' Bill cleared the Commons on Monday 30th January 2023, this now further inhibits our rights as workers, with the threat of arrest for standing our ground and refusing to comply with the Government's draconian and bullying new law should it receive Royal Assent. We are being bound, tied, gagged and threatened by our own Parliamentary representatives and yet they believe that this is wholly democratic!
The solution to the above is a 'Fighting Fund' which will do the following throughout 2023 or until we either get the Government to fully listen to us and understand fully and unequivocally our concerns and grievances or a General Election is announced and the people of the United Kingdom can (finally) have their say and elect the Government they want:
* Issue Legal Challenges to Media outlets who smear Mick Lynch and Union Members fighting for justice. If the BBC, GB News, TalkTV, ITV, Sky News etc. knew that we had the financial wherewithal to issue legal proceedings for defamation, they would not be as keen and eager to smear and maliciously label us as 'evil' or to call Mick Lynch 'The Grinch' when he is fighting for all of our rights; if one group can be silenced then we can all be silenced, hence why we must never give in and fight on.
* Issue Legal Challenges to MP's or 'People with a Significant Influence' in society who are trying to prevent us from achieving our aims of being heard fairly and trying all manner of things from smear campaigns to outright lies about our campaign. The truth needs to be heard and told and there has to be no barrier nor person or people which prevent/s us from getting our message out that we are being entirely reasonable and it is the Government who is in the wrong and is acting childish by refusing to help support the people it proports to serve. If we can issue Legal Affidavits against these powerful people in office who lie and smear us, this will make them think twice before they mis-speak about us in public.
* Financially support Union Members experiencing hardship or who have been attacked or threatened due to their stance in supporting strike action.
* Support Union Members in the event of a full and possibly permanent General Strike throughout 2023.
We get that our actions are frustrating, but we are the last people who want to do them. When the Powers-that-be will not listen, there is sadly no other action which can be taken other than to withdraw labour for how ever long it takes in order for the necessary change to come around.
The future of the country and indeed what we can and cannot do is up to you; if we can fight on then we have a chance of winning, but if we cannot sustain the fight then all that we have fought for could well be consigned to the history books as the Tory Government wishes to strip away all our rights as workers as well as human beings.
The choice, put simply is this:
* A future where every worker is paid a fair wage and where the cost of living is greatly reduced. A progressive and forward-thinking society which accepts and respects people regardless of who they are and protects and cares for them both in and out of the workplace.
OR
* A future where workers have no rights, cannot complain about pay and conditions, nor the stress of working long hours. A regressive and negative society which puts profits first and people last and completely disregards anybody who opposes its draconian and unfair ways.
We all want the first option, but without your help there is only going to be the second option available.
We cannot fight without funds, which is why every penny and pound donated will be the difference between success and failure, between the promise of a fresh new start or the promise of ever worsening pay and conditions with no say and no vote on ever bringing back the benefits we see today in the workplace which have been fought for over time.
Whatever you can afford to give, please give something. Don't just 'Like' and 'Retweet' this story, without you giving we are facing a very bleak future where our rights will be taken away for good.
Times are hard, but even if 10000 people could donate £1 or 5000 people could donate £2 that would be a fantastic start.
We do not know how much we will need in order to continue this fight, nor for how long the Tory Government intend to 'hold out' and deny us our basic rights and a fair say at the table, therefore we need to be prepared to go through 2023 with the ability to fight back against the lies, malice, slurs and defamations put our way by bullying sycophants who want to crush the rights of all of us to protest and be paid fairly.
All funds raised will be put into ESCROW and used by Mick Lynch as directed above.
