Hey, my name is Madi Cano and I am an independent glass artist from Columbus, Ohio. Recently, my car was broken into while parked behind my house for the night and the only thing that was stolen was my tool case filled with my glassblowing tools. I am completely devastated; my tool case was the only item that was taken, but the thief likely didn't know what they were taking. I'm sure that they just saw a beautiful, vintage suitcase and snatched it without looking inside. I immediately searched every dumpster in the alleys surrounding my house, thinking that they could have discarded the case or tools once they realized what they had taken. I have called pawn shops near me with no luck (but I have gotten a bit of advice from a few shop owners). Police reports have been filed and thankfully my window was replaced quickly. Unfortunately, my insurance won't be of too much help in replacing my tools... so here we are. Any help is greatly appreciated.
