Oksana Nadeau hasn't added a story.
Global First Responders (GFR) is a humanitarian, non-religious organization that deploys passionate experts & volunteers to serve regions in critical need, with high-impact, short-term trips. I have gladly accepted a position as a Volunteer Nurse to aid in the refugee crisis in Ukraine.
There is an enormous need to help the major influx of refugees and other displaced people from Ukraine. The need ranges from tangible items such as food, clean clothes, sterile medical equipment, baby formula, etc., to direct & compassionate patient care. Although this trip is lined up to be a medically-focused one, there are still a lot of details to be finalized—the efforts may pivot to be that of helping in shelters, camps, food pantries, orphanages, make-shift clinics, etc. The funds I am asking for will help with international airfare, travel insurance, medical evacuation insurance, equipment, and other needed items or documents I will need to travel safely.
GFR has made it abundantly clear that if the surrounding areas of Ukraine are simply too dangerous to attempt in providing aid, then help & assistance to the Ukrainian refugees & other displaced people will not be as direct—i.e. the trip will be postponed.
I am making it explicit to anyone who would like to donate money for this passionate cause of mine, that if I cannot go on this trip for whatever reason, then 100% of the funds raised will go directly to GFR. The organization will use the funds as they see fit to aid in this humanitarian crisis, or others that are also happening around the world.

We Lived Happily During the War by Ilya Kaminsky
"And when they bombed
other people’s houses, we
protested
but not enough, we opposed them but not
enough. I was
in my bed, around my bed America
was falling: invisible house by invisible house by invisible house.
I took a chair outside and watched the sun.
In the sixth month
of a disastrous reign in the house
of money
in the street of money in the city of money in the country
of money,
our great country of money, we (forgive us)
lived happily during the war."
