It's my birthday.... It's my birthday!! Woohoo!! I'm soon starting my 36th year, so let's raise $3,600 in 36 days!!
This year I'd like to celebrate by bringing awareness to a special organization, Potcake Puppy Palace, a small rescue run by my close friend Claire. Since 2012, Claire has saved and found homes for over 650 Bahamian Potcake Pups, a handful of which I rescued and had been unable to care for at the time, of course Claire has never hesitated to take those in too. She spends most of her day (and night sometimes) helping nurture these precious souls, bringing some back from death's doorsteps, bottle feeding abandoned newborn pups and spending countless hours at vet clinics getting them all healthy and vaccinated. Thankfully in recent months a few volunteers have stepped up to help when they can but this is a one woman show and her dedication to the task is mind blowing.
Your donations, every penny of it will be turned over to Claire and spent on puppy food, veterinary care and supplies, travel costs to get pups to new homes or shelters abroad, electrical costs as well as other utility expenses at the rescue, travel bags, toys, bowls, dog houses and fencing, shampoo, flea and tick prevention and countless other expenses she incurs on a daily basis.
