My name is Kasandra Emslander and I am a 34 year old Epileptic burn survivor (not a victim) in search of a little bit of help in order to get an outside attorney who is going to speak on my behalf, the ability to prove that I was in the middle of a seizure while I was in the hospital for suicidal thoughts and my behavior was mistaken as an act of violence rather than the symptoms I have been known to display during a seizure. This is the first felony charge I have ever been accused of and I refuse to play let's make a deal with the DA. I have been out of custody since the 6th of September on my own recognance and the assigned public defender that refuses to do her job is not going to cut it. I have asked for a different public defender and that was denied both times it was brought up in court.
