Justice For Matteo!
This page is to help raise funds for the legal defense of Matthew Yenkala.
Matthew is well-known in the Phoenix, AZ area and beyond for his many years running the local Rocky Horrorand Repo! The Genetic Operashadowcasts, as the owner of Chandler Cinemas, and as the man behind Genuine Love Promotions, among other projects (such as being an extra in the movies A Regular Frankie Fan and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, the late-90s Phoenix-area cable comedy show IPN, and writing the B5book “The Annotated 20th Anniversary Panel Transcripts”).
Matthew is currently entering the fourth year of an extremely ugly legal situation that has done immense damage to his life, reputation and future.
What Matt has been accused of is horrible…but the fact is that he was set up for this crime, all over a petty social vendetta, by people whose agendas and motivations hide some very, very dark skeletons in their own closets.
Matteo was framed. And yes, there is extensive proof of this.
Matthew has been publicly shamed and painted as the worst kind of monster, by both strangers as well as others who should have known better. For three years, Matt has been unable to defend himself or tell his story, feeling as if he has had no mouth yet must scream. At some point all of the information pointing to who did this to Matt and why they did it WILL come out, but right now he is in the fight of his life.
The people who did this struck just as Matt’s lifelong dreams were starting to come true. When the real story of what happened comes out, “Making a Murderer” will look like amateur hour.
We are a group of Matt’s friends who are taking up a collection on his behalf, to enable him to fight and beat his charges, so that the truth can come out, he can tell his story, resume his life and reclaim his future— and hold those responsible publicly and legally accountable for the criminal conspiracy that has devastated Matt’s life.
All donations will be applied to Matt’s legal costs and, if you wish, will be kept anonymous. Any unused donations will be returned on a proportionate basis following the end of Matthew’s legal case.
