Hello! My name is Gaby, I am Biologist and my field of work so far has been immunology and parasitology. In Venezuela, I was envolved in a scientific research project that helped determine some of the intracelular survival strategies of  the parasite Leishmania mexicana. . During the course of this project I was able to appreciate that biomedical sciences have the power to develop solutions to health problems, in this case, allowing us to understand better the biology of a parasite, that affects an important amount of population worldwide.

To achieve my goal of continuing my scientific formation, I very recently relocated to Argentina and I have just been accepted in the the International Master/PhD Program in Biomedical Sciences, that has a program shared between the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the University of Freiburg (Germany). I'm raising money to cover the tuition fees and my living expenses during the course of my postgraduate studies. This program has an incredibly rich syllabus, covering a very wide range of subjects that go from a general to specific review of all the biological, clinical and even mathematical knowledge that a modern professional in the field of biomedicine should have.

Coming from a country undergoing an immensely complex political and economical crisis, my family or me have not been able to save up money for my postgraduate education. The high inflation rates in my country, combined with the significant devaluation of our currency and the limited access to foreign currency because of government designations, make it almost impossible to save up enough money for international ventures.
