Our Big Idea
We want 100% renewable energy to become a reality. And we have a plan to help make it happen. We want your help to start a unique crowdfunding site to raise billions of dollars every year.
This Campaign - This campaign is to raise money for some urgent expenses we need to pay for as soon as possible so we can apply for the $100 million 100andChange grant from the MacArthur Foundation. We don't rate our chances very high but we believe entering will be a valuable experience.
Plus we need funds for trademarks and other IP, website related expenses, and assembling a few new team members so we can apply for a couple grants.
We want to set things up as soon as possible, because the grant applications are due over the next month. We'll be able to withdraw funds while the campaign is ongoing.

Our crowdfunding site will utilize a variety of mechanisms to regularly offer significant discounts on energy efficient and renewable energy products, and sell thousands of them every day. Purchasers could end up saving 30% on an energy star dishwasher, 40% on an energy star refrigerator, or 25% on an energy star air conditioner.
Part of our idea will work like this...
1] We'll get the best prices from manufacturers by buying very large numbers at a steady rate over some length of time (this will help them reduce costs per unit). So let's say a manufacturer gives us 20% off an energy star clothes washer.
2] Then we'll work with business partners to offer rewards on our site.
3] We'll use those 3rd party rewards along with our own rewards, likeeducation services, to crowdfund another 10% of the price, so purchasers get a 30% discount on their clothes washer.
At the same time we'll raise enough extra money to fund a renewable energy project somewhere.
We'll magnify the benefits by earmarking a portion of the energy saving products for a community where we're installing renewable energy, which will help reduce the size of investment we need to make.
We'll offer extra incentives for people to replace outdated, inefficient appliances with new, energy star appliances. (Some people are still using refrigerators that are over 20 years old and really waste energy!)
We'll also help low income families afford to purchase energy efficient products, which will save them energy costs, so they can spend that money on other needs. (Maybe it will even help their food last longer and prevent contamination.)
We'll help save energy, reduce our negative impact on the environment, reduce health costs from air pollution, create new jobs, and boost the economy.

Reading Instruction. 4 weeks. Your Location. English Language. USA only. This is offered for a learning disabled student who is struggling to learn to read. 2 hours of reading instruction per day. Reading sessions are very intense, so they should be spread out throughout the day in short 20 to 30 minute sessions. Also will include tutoring in other subjects including math, as well as piano, if desired, for up to 4 hours per day. We will work out details. Prefer to arrange and complete this offer before December 31, 2016.
