Sam was scoped and diagnosed with a small ethmoid hematoma a
few years ago, because it was in a visible location using the
endoscope the vet was able to inject the hematoma with a solution
that killed it away. A short amount of time after this procedure
Sam's symtoms of having a hematoma reoccured. Scince owning him I
have taken Sam in for one other scope. The mass (hematoma) had
replanted itself possibaly in his sinuses. Although it would require
a x-ray to be sure of its pressent location, that is what we are
assuming. But are possitive on the fact it has come back. It has
been about 3 years scince his last treatment. The mass has yet to
effect breathing but is growing and needs to be treated with a bone
flap surgery before it gets any worse.
Sam is a very special horse to me! A true friend.
He is a 12 year old purebred arabian gelding. I have owned him
for about a year now! I am 15 and a freshmen in highschool. I do not
live in a "Horsey" family. I am too young to get a real
job to provide my boy with an x-ray and proper treatment. Every
penny I recive goes to pay for Sam's needs. I love him very much and
if he does not receive surgery soon I could potentionaly loose him,
either by sale or being forced to put him down.

racing, Sam and I have been through a lot togeather and I would HATE
to see him go!
