Mohawk Coffee House is a new non-profit in Bessemer, a small rural town on the Pennsylvania/Ohio border. Affectionately known as MoCo House, our goal is to create a comfortable gathering space in the Mohawk school district. A place where people of all ages can come together to enjoy conversations, entertainment, art, and a great cup of coffee at an affordable price. Nothing else like this currently exists in Mohawk; if we succeed MoCo House can be a center of culture and community in this small town.

In order to succeed in this mission we need to buy a lot of specialty coffee equipment. Between grants, fundraising, and donations from the local community, we've already raised over $75,000 which will cover the costs of renovating our space. However, we still need more funds in order to purchase and install all the equipment we'll need to serve drinks, pastries, and snacks. We need at least $7000 before we will even have the possibility of opening, if we can raise $15000 we can buy all of the equipment we need to run the bar. If we raise more than that, the excess money will go to buy a lot of extra features that we don't need to open but that will add a nice touch to our space, including a fireplace, an outside facade, a projector screen for movie nights, a nice sound system, better furniture, and more!

MoCo House is the vision of three ministers in Mohawk who wanted to use their resources to build up the community beyond the walls of their churches. It is being spearheaded by members of churches from 5 different denominations, and has been backed by multiple local businesses and people from all different walks of life. If you donate you will be helping make a difference in our community and you will have our heartfelt thanks. There are also a range of different rewards you can choose from. There are various coupons available, or a bag of coffee shipped to your house. Just $25 will earn you an invitation to our pre-opening donor appreciation day where we'll be serving free drinks and pastries before we officially open our doors to the public. $35 will make you an official sponsor and earn a spot on our sponsor list online. If you donate $100 we will give you a coffee mug with the MoCo House logo on it; anytime you bring the mug in we will give you a free coffee or $1 off any other drink. For those who want to go above and beyond in their giving, there is also a chance to work with our director to create and name your own specialty drink! Finally, for organizations, businesses, or other groups: a donation of $1000 will give you a chance to throw your own private party at MoCo house with free drinks provided.
