Steve Majors hasn't added a story.
My sister, Jean is a fighter - having fought polio and wearing a leg brace all her life, she was recently diagnosed with not one, but MULTIPLE cancers.
And, now, after going through a complete bone-marrow transplant, the doctors think there is more.....
She just told me "My blood counts are all dropping and the doctor is worried that there is more cancer (a different kind, again). Or my spleen is eating my blood (for some unknown reason)", which means more tests, more drugs, and more bills....
As a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all she meets, there is no lack of love and caring in her life, though financially, things are getting out of hand, and she could really use your help.
Everyone has challenges, though Jean and her husband, Keith, have had more than their share lately - with more 'hard times' in the last few months than they have had throughout their adult lives.
Her bout with cancer has forced them to move close to the doctors, and has put them out of work in the meantime.
They live in a motorhome and travel around from place to place working as security guards on various jobsites. They like that lifestyle and have happily worked at it for years, even though sometimes it forces them to work in locations they can't see their family, recently, for a couple years.
They accept that as part of their lives, and keep on.
However, about a year ago, Jean was having some trouble with her shoulder that never would 'heal' and so she went to the doctor to see what was wrong. I'll not go into details here, you can read all about this journey in her blog, where she kept the family informed of how things are (you'll see from reading it how kind and loving she is - ever smiling through even the worst parts) -- Read Jean's Journey Through Cancer blog.
She fought through the pain, issues and uncertainty of a bone marrow transplant and things were looking up - their boss was getting ready to put them back on the road as soon as the doctor released Jean, but then, now, the doctors say "more tests" which means "more lost time with no income......"
They had been living off their savings, though that quickly ran out and they have begun living on credit cards, with no source of income right now....
The family has helped where/as we can, though none of us is really in a situation that will help with all the expenses that are piling up.
She would never ask for help for herself (we were raised to take care of our own problems and be responsible for our own actions - our parents taught us that) and for months now, that is exactly what has happened.
But, the strain of lack of work and constant medical bills - which now seems to be again on the rise - is staring her in the face and something I don't want her to have to fight alone.
MY SISTER NEEDS YOUR FINANCIAL HELP to continue her fight.
Anything you can give is wonderful - there is nothing too big or small - everything helps.

In the 50s and 60s, our family (encouraged by our Dad) collected silver and various coins - partly as a 'rainy day' savings, though also something to keep the kids busy :) These coins are prized heirlooms and have an extremely high sentimental value. They would only ever be given to FAMILY and you, as a contributor to this cause, become just that. We will select one of the Silver Dollars from our father's collection and send to you, our latest family member. Thank you for your support in this worthy cause!
