Donna is a beautiful, vibrant, kind, funny, loving and clever woman. Donna has a complex form of thyroid cancer at level 5. Donna is fighting for her life and for the medical treatment she needs to help her to stick around longer to be with her little girl, Summer.
Donna is our cousin. She is a single mum living in Australia, struggling with very serious pain every second of every day. Donna needs our help now!!!
Donna was left in shocking debt after her relationship with Summer's dad broke down. She literally can not afford the medical treatment to help to prolong her life and to make her pain more maneagable. Doctors are not sure how to take Donna's treatment forward. They don't offer a treatment which is available here in the UK. This is called alcohol ablation therapy. Our dream is to get her here for that treatment, and if that is not possible to fund some changes to her home so that she can be more confortable and spend some good times with little Summer.
The cancer is now deep into Donna's lymph system and is spreading fast. She has further complications, arthritis and bone breaks which seriously inhibit her ability to care for herself and Summer.
The nature and placement of the cancer make treatment options very
very narrow for Donna. She only has a couple of chances to reduce the
pain and make her life more comfortable and a little longer.
Donna has no heating or hot water, she has no bath and showering is agony for her. Her house is cold and she is unable to afford cancer fighting drugs.
Please help us to help this very much loved family member, please help Donna!! Please give anything you can afford, however small so that we can offer Donna the chance to make her life more comfortable and the opportunity to pay for treatment to prolong her life.
