Leo had End-Stage Dilated Cardiomyopathy. He had a successful heart transplant on 26/06/14 and now needs help with his medical expenses during his recovery

On Saturday 24th of May 2014 Leo had his heart transplant operation. The surgery was a success and Leo is recovering very well.

Leo HAD End-Stage Dilated Cardiomyopathy. A heart condition that decreased his heart's ability to pump blood and caused it to become enlarged.

The surgeon took this photo of Leo's old enlarged heart during his transplant surgery, she said it was the size of a soccer ball (normal hearts are usually half the size!)

Leo is only 21 years old and had no previous heart problems, was in shape and led a healthy lifestyle.

Doctors still don't know what officially caused Leo's condition. But since his diagnosis last year, Leo has been in and out of St. Vincents Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Your donation (however small) will greatly help Leo's family pay for his increasing medical bills such as his current treatments, tests and both short and long-term medication and heart transplant.

Thank you for reading this and for any donations, I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with how Leo is going.
