A little about Lee: He is a political refugee from Kenya, and currently pursuing a career in Medicine. He is finishing up a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at The University of Washington, Seattle. Strong, determined, and eager to learn and grow, he has been a great addition to our Lab family.

He moved here six years ago and due to his refugee status is unable to go home to see family or friends. This has been hard for him, especially since he is so close to his mother.

The one thing he has said he would love more than anything, would be to have his mother see him walk in commencement in June 2014. Unfortunately, it is a timely and costly endeavor to bring her out to Washington from Kenya and he has said if she is unable to come he will postpone walking in commencement until next year in hopes of raising the funds.

As a Lab family, we have put together a little over $500 to put toward the costs of her traveling and visa. We need to raise at least $2000 in order for her to be able to come out. We really want him to be able to walk with his 2014 class and have his mom there to see it.

On behalf of Lemuel Mwangi, The Rabinovitch Lab is requesting help to give a gift to him for his upcoming graduation and commencement. We would greatly appreciate any support or gift you can give in helping us.
