Edward “Ed” D. Jensen, 65 of Brazil, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away January 19, 2013 at the home of his daughter. He was born April 13, 1947 in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Nelda Englebart Jensen. He graduated from Anamosa Community High School, Class of 1966. Ed joined the U.S. Army and served his country for 12 years. He worked for many years for Kohler Company in Wisconsin retiring from his position as a maintenance foreman in 1997. He worked for his brother, Dana Jensen, at Falcon Trucking Company in Sheboygan, WI for a time until health issues became a problem. Ed came to Brazil in 2003 to stay with his daughter.
Ed was a member of the NRA. Many years ago, he was baptized in the Church of the First Born. He was a generous man and cared about others. He enjoyed this time of being in Brazil and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
Survivors include, daughter, Amanda Compton (Dale Beverly) of Brazil; grandchildren, Bethany Compton, Trystan Compton, and Ella Compton; brothers, Jimmy Jensen (Judy) of MN, Dana Jensen (Becky) of WI, Robert “Bob” Jensen (Lisa) and Chris Jensen both of Texas; several nieces, nephews and extended family, including Sharon Roseann Langley Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Nancy Simmons and Sandy Nelson.
If friends would like to help Amanda with expenses for her fathers’ services, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
