The Mundy Family, Thomas is the father, Carolyn is the wife (to this day he calls her his bride) with three children two sons and a daughter. This family has seen more than their fair share of loss, but by the grace of God they have survived and the attack of the Twin Towers on 9-11-2001 and now Hurricane Sandy, they need our help to recover.

Thomas is a Vietnam Veteran, a retired New York City Firefighter who willingly put his life on the line every day to save others including on 9-11 persevering and surviving the attacks on the Twin Towers, in spite of losing friends and family. He is a husband, father and grandfather. His family is his world and he has always done what he can to ensure they are comfortable and well cared for.
Carolyn has supported her husband and raised three children to adulthood. She and her husband are very involved grandparents to three granddaughters and one grandson. Thomas and Carolyn's home is still livable at this point. They have lost their van and classic vet that Thomas adored. Eric, Danielle and baby Collin are currently living with Thomas and Carolyn until they can rebuild their home.

Their oldest son live outside of NY, TJ resides in Minnesota where he is employed as a chef. He has two daughters whom he shares joint custody with. Eric had a home in Broad Channel 4 blocks from his parents up until Storm Sandy took it. Eric was accepted into law school, but after the devastating losses on 9-11-2001 he resigned his application and vowed to keep the family legacy of having a Mundy in the New York City Fire Department. He has since married a wonderful woman named Danielle and they were blessed to have a son 4 months ago!
Eric and Danielle lost their home during hurricane Sandy - They have lost everything and as we all know there are plenty of items that insurance will not cover. They have deductibles to cover, medical bills to pay, a home to rebuild, and a sense of security that was lost when the hurricane destroyed all that they shared together. The Red Cross and other agencies like them can only do so much and it is our hope that you will find it in your heart to help them. They are not a nameless faceless bunch and they have made so many contributions to others, now in their hour of need it’s our turn to help them.
