Emilie refused to write this herself, and if you know her, you know why. That girl is independent, resourceful, and usually the last person to ask folks for help. Em is usually the first to offer mutual aid to friends and strangers whether its helping to find jobs/resume edits, coursework review, petcare, moving, and community efforts like volunteering with senior citizens and toddlers.
Right now, she could really use some of that energy in her direction (whether she wants to ask or not!).
She’s been navigating an exhausting series of ongoing medical issues, including reproductive health complications, autoimmune disease, tumor growth... this all has led to loss of sleep, brain fog. and persistent inflammation and pain causing loss of work or inconsistent start times. An out-of-network biopsy has added another significant financial burden to an already difficult situation.
On good days and bad, Emilie continues working full time facilitating large construction projects. The reality is repeated medical appointments, hospital stays, and recovery time have cost her a substantial amount of work and income. Everyday expenses haven’t stopped. Contributions will help cover immediate bills and expenses while she continues pursuing medical care and trying to regain some stability. Any amount makes a difference, and sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
