Savannah Kiernan hasn't added a story.

Hi, I don't have a creative poem to catch your attention.. but I do have is honesty. Well I guess I should start from where it started going down hill.. about two years ago on Christmas morning I got woken up by my parents telling me that they were moving to Ohio.. that morning.. "Heres $500, the keys to the car, and the keys to the house. Be safe, we love you" I know to a lot of people that seem like an AWESOME Christmas present.. well let me tell you how Awesome it wasn't. My family is in the below poverty bracket; this is actually the first house my 50 year old mother has ever had in her name. Bless her heart, she really did try her hardest in trying to keep up. She is now 27 years sober off of Meth. Well my step dad- was suppose to be right there with her in the 27 year sobriety, but two years ago fell off the wagon. Long story short, the house- wrecked. I mean flooring ripped up to where my room floor is literally concrete, same wit the master bedroom, Its a three bedroom two bath house by the way. Weird things like all the door knobs where put on backwards, places in the fence needed to be fixed, the 'self built' back porch was rotting, and needed to be taken down, things of that nature needed to be done. At the time, I was self-employed (personal chef) and was able to take care of things as such. Heck I even sat down for three hours straight, and caught up on all of their late bills; paying little over $400 in those hours. I felt good, I was getting the house to look like an actual house again. Have I mentioned I am a lesbian? Right.. well my girlfriend's grandma fell very ill, and needed all around the clock care. Of course we left immediately left Florida, and went to Mississippi. Before we left, my car, a beat up 1999 Pontiac Fire bird, probably has seen way better days. (step dad at one point literally crashed the car into the wall off the interstate) had broken down... again. Keep in mind at this point in time, I had replaced the entire radiator, the hoses, the battery, and belts; tying to figure out what was wrong with it.. turns out is had a blown gasket so it over heated. I still was able to take it to the local grocery store, places close by. A to B. Well the starter went out, and I just couldn't afford to take it with me. So with them leaving me the house, they also left me with a roommate.. whom i left my house, and my car too thinking that everything would be taken care.. My mistake.. fast forward 5-6 months and unfortunately one morning my girlfriend goes in to see what grandma wanted to eat for breakfast, and found her deceased. R.I.P very heart broken.. We couldn't stay with her other grandma because well i mean they are from Mississippi and you guessed it! They didn't like the fact that I was gay, and basically told us to kick rocks. After THEY were the ones who moved us out of my three bedroom two bath house to go and stay in this TINY two bedroom apartment with her grandma, whom knew from the start that I was gay? All of the sudden when they didn't need our help anymore we get kicked to the curb.. just like that we headed back to Florida back to my house..and let me tell you what we found when we got home was horrendous.. I basically get home to a 'trapped out truck stop' my girlfriend like to put it. I mean the house was disgusting.. and that's an understatement. It was tragically destroyed, by addicts. In fact my room, in which i locked up, had been broken into. My A.C uni twas kicked in, and my room was complete;y ransacked. My clothes, my shoes, ( i wear anywhere from a 5 to 6 in boys, people couldn't fit my shoes, and i literally found a pair of my shoes on display at someones house) my sound system, my security system, the jewelry box my mom gave me that she had when she was a kid; smashed into pieces. I mean they purposely disrespected my room the most. I even heard, someone used it as a bathroom, and peed on my floor quite a few times by the smell. I was outraged, and so upset. Hurt really, that these people watched how hard i worked on my house just to do what they did to it... I was depressed.. I didn't clean things up immediately. It took me almost two months until i actually started cleaning it up. 7 months into it, and i'm still trying to get my house back together again. With the loss of grandma, and coming home to my house like this I fell into this depression, its been extremely hard finding work. I go to a church every week for food. Last week, we couldn't find a ride, so basically starved if it wasn't for the local dollar general's dumpster.. they throw away a lot of good food, and we have been subjected to getting food from there if we wanted to eat.. Times are hard, and I am still trying my hardest every day.. ANY help is absolutely appreciated, and honestly really needed. I hate asking anyone; especially a stranger for help.. but i've not only exhausted myself, my mother who literally moved out of state to get my step dad sober, is paying my electric and water in increments to keep them on.. i know shes exhausted as well.. Again anything helps.. peace and love. P.S step dad has been sober for going on two years now!
