I have a friend in desperate need of the help of Our Village of Hope. She  desperately needs the help of our village so she can keep her home for her and her animals and not loose storage with items from her parents and personal belongings. 

She has been on  disability and bed bound for several years due to multiple health issues. A couple of years ago, her father passed away and she lost her childhood home. Having no family to help her, she relied on others to help. They moved all her possessions into two different storage's, when they could have easily fit into one. She has since been living in a travel trailer, paying monthly rent. She can not work and her only source of income is SSDI. Due to a medical condition related to her heart and blood pressure, she spends most of her days in bed. She barely keeps her head above water. Recently, an old rent check cleared her bank account, causing her to be overdrawn, which caused a domino effect of overdraft fees.  In December, she started out her month with only $300. after her SSDI deposit due to the old rent check clearing and the overdraft fees. My friend has a sweet senior girl named "Nelly" and two goats, who think they are lap goats, that are brothers, both hand raised by her named “Tommy and Maynard”. They are all at risk of loosing their home and there is no where for them to go. I take her to dr’s appt’s and get groceries to her home and food for Nelly and the goats because it is not safe for her to drive.  She is in desperate need of help for the following items. Funds needed to cover the two storages for December and January are $396.50 & $459.02, the fees include late and lein fees. One months rent of $725 for the old check that cleared causing her rent to be behind one month starting in December. Additionally, she needs help covering the cost of two month's of food for Nelly and the goats in the amount of $40. for Nelly, for her special diet food and $65.00 for the goats. I have until Monday to raise $459.02 for one of the storage's and until the 5th to raise the $396.50 for the other storage or she will loose all that she has left from her mother and father. Nelly and the goats need food before the end of the coming week and the landlord is giving her a small amount of time to bring the rent current. I will show the goal of the total of what is is needed but will focus on the storage's first as they are both currently with a lien, then food for the animals and then the rent she is behind. The lien sale will be stopped if payment is made prior to the auction date. For those wondering what my friend will do going forward. There is already someone who has offered to help build a storage shed, near her trailer for her to put her items. The hope is to have all done before the end of February. I know this is a lot to ask, but I am asking all that I know to consider helping my friend in her time of need. If you are not able to help, please share.
