Despite starting last month's appeal earlier, we have struggeld to rais our target and are now nearly a month behind again, so PLEASE keep sharing and inviting people to support Caki's dogs.  And a big "Thank You" to everyone who has donated!

We have again seen a considerable number of new arrivals.  Stevie is a black Russian terrier who was unwanted by his family - he's much happier now that his long, neglected coat has been clipped and groomed!  Lana and Livia are two GSDs that were also unwanted by their family: a young girl contated Caki in a desperate effort to save them from the dog catchers.  Lucky girls, they are now in foster homes in the UK.  Eva, Jessie (boy), Lea and Leona were picked up from the street, where local children were playing with them, as the dog catchers were on their way: believed to be around 2.5 - 3 months old, there was no sign of their mum.  Billy, desperately thin and blind in one eye, had been abandoned by a previous rescuer in low quality pension and was about to be put back on streets.

Pluto was found by some Spanish visitors, having been hit by a car he had managed to crawl into a cemetary: thankfully his injuries weren't as serious a first thought and he is now beginning to walk again. 

An as-yet un-named little lad as rescued during Mattie, Diane and Ariane's visit - abandoned in an unfamiliar neighbourhood, he was attacked by local dogs during the night as he searched for food among the trash cans.  Thankfully a lady heard the fight and chased the other dogs away; he's got an injured paw due to the fight, but seems a very friendly dog.  Another pup, Teddy, was rescued the next day after Caki received a call from 2 girls who had found him alone, sleeping in the rubble of a ruined house.   Both of them are lucky enough to be heading to Mattie and Diane when they are ready.    Nanook is a beautiful husky, found outside the airport terminal building as Diane and Ariane were heding home.  

Ronnie was found after Caki was called out to anRTA  victim lying beneath a motorway flyover. He couldn’t stand, but his tail was wagging madly.  Thankfully it turned out he was bruised but no broken bones, and he as standing again the next day.

Caki collected little Maltese cross Pip (aka Pip#2) after his owner said she didn't want him anymore due to a recent accidient.  It transpires he had not only a longstanding leg injury that needed surgery, but he is also deaf, partially blind, and carried a huge parasitic worm burden.  He is still recovering from surgey.

Little black puppy Viktor was found in a hole under a bush, all alone.  He's about 8 weeks old, and seem sto enjoy playing with Kaleb!  Emily was found in a village 100km from Sarajevo, all on her own, max. 8 weeks old, abandoned under a bush: there were 6 pups but mother and the other 5 had disappeared.

Very sadly GSD Jack was found dead in his kennel, following a thunder storm - we presume he died of heart failure.  And as I write this news has come that Azra, who was rescued from Prac two tears ago, has also passed away.  RIP Jack and Azra.

Departures are Elma, Dita, Annabelle, Buddy 2, Cissie, Cleo, Daria, Harry, Holly, Honey, Jill, Lana, Lara, Lvia, Luka #2, Mac, Martha, Paris, Panda and Soldier.

Ronnie's, Pluto's, Ollie's and Kaleb's ongoing treatment, and initial treatment for several others,  means we have made provision for significant vet bills again this month, too.
