Who Am I?
My name is Weijiao Yan, a Chinese graduate student from the Savannah College of Arts and Design(SCAD), majoring in Arts Administration. To accomplish the requirements of my department and obtain a Master's Degree of Arts, I am curating and executing an art installation exhibition, Non-Existent Blossom, as my final project. It will be held from March 2nd to 4th at Non-Fiction Gallery, 1522 Bull Street, Savannah, GA. I hope to provide all the audience with an excellent experience.
What is the exhibition displayed about?
The theme of this exhibition is based on ordinary daily materials used in art creation to build relationships with our daily life and to prove that these ordinary daily materials will shine for the audiences with extraordinary splendor. All the exhibited installation artworks are created by Ying Chen, who also is a Chinese graduate student from SCAD, majoring in Painting. She uses seemingly obscure things that exist in our daily life—tissue paper and toilet paper—to generate art creations. These things themselves are vulnerable and fragile, but through artistic creation and performance, we will deliver the idea that everything in our life can bloom into the beauty of art. There is a close and strong relationship between art creation and paper. Ying Chen changes the usability of toilet paper and tissue paper, processes these papers using artistic methods, and endows these materials with durable vitality. Combining her artistic and aesthetic feeling in these simple and familiar papers produces in audiences a novel and unbelievable reaction. Furthermore, the exhibition intends to build up communicative spaces between the artist and the spectator, generate attention between our present situations, and help us think about the everyday throughout the material related to our quotidian lives.
This art exhibition will display at the Non-Fiction Gallery, 1522 Bull Street, Savannah, GA. It is free to the public. Great artworks, food and drinks.

What will we need?
The Non-Existent Blossom needs to raise $1,300 for the exhibition, and the online crowd funding campaign will cover the budget as follows:
$490.5 for three days Non-Fiction Gallery rental fee
$125.19 for 400 flyer printing
$170 for 50 poster printing
$20 for artwork name label printing
$150 for installation materials
$270 for food and beverages
$100 for other expenses
Total expenses are $1325.69, and I hope to acquire $1,300 from the FundRazr online crowd funding campaign.
