On May 14, 2003 at 12:46 my daughter Kyley was born. She was 20.5 inches and weighted 7lbs and 11oz. I was not there. I was not told that she was being born. I did not get to see my daughter for the first time until she was 6 weeks old. On and off for the next year my daughter and her mother lived with me as well as other family members.

On August 31, 2004 I took my daughter from her mother's home where she had been left alone. I notified the police and child protective services were notified. My daughter was removed from her mother's custody and placed with her maternal grandmother. Why not me? My DNA test results had not been received yet so I could not be proven to be her father. When the results did come back and I was found to be her father I asked the courts to allow me visits with my daughter, I was in college so her being with her grandmother was the best place at the time, however my request was always put off. I was able to see my daughter on and off over the next few years. Her mother and I even had another child together, a son. Her mother never wanted to regain custody of her and to this day she is her sister not her mother.

I got married in 2008 and I have not been able to see my daughter since. I have not been able to hold her, talk to her, or tell her I love her. I was completely removed from her life. She was told that I am dead and that I had abused her, the same can be said for my son who I now have sole custody of, and that I never wanted nor loved her.

In 2010 I was asked to sign my rights away to my daughter. I told her mother that I would not and that I would be filing for my visits and later on custody. I found out in the process of filing that she had been moved to Tennessee. I did not know where my daughter was for almost 2 years. When they moved back to Kentucky I re-started my attempts to see her. During this time my son was removed from his mother's custody and I spent my money and time obtaining custody of him because he was at the greatest risk at the moment but I never stopped asking about my daughter. Also during this time I attended school functions to see my daughter sing in her school group, donated supplies to her class, and went to her graduation. I never talked to her but she knew I was there and that was what mattered the most to me.

On July 29, 2014 I was served with a petition for custody and I co-filed a petition of my own. On August 1, 2014 temporary custody was granted to her grandmother so that she could be enrolled in school in Tennessee and my request for visits was not addressed because of the fact that they were moving out of state. I seen my daughter for a few seconds as she walked out of her mother's house at Christmas of 2014. This is the last time I have seen her.

My wife and I now have 3 children of our own. They have never met their sister. They have grown up with only pictures and the rare occurrences of seeing her out in town. My son who has grown up his whole life with his sister has not seen her for almost a year. I want to bring my children together and I want to let my daughter know how much I have always cared for her, like my son now realizes after years of being told lies about me. I want my family to be whole and not have to leave her out of family events and I want to be able to give her presents for her birthday and for Christmas and not just keep them in a box in a storage building hoping that one day I can give them to her. I want my daughter to see that I love her and that I will be there for here when she needs me. I just need the chance to do it.

Everything that is donated will go to my lawyer and for court cost and anything extra will go to buying my daughter clothes and the things she needs if she comes to live with me and my family or into a college fund for then she finishes school. Please help me make my family whole and bring my daughter home.
