Meet Ollie!

Ollie was just recently rescued from an erratic life on the streets. His people loved him very much, but were unable to pay for his medical care and unwilling, unfortunately, to avail themselves of the free and low cost options available in the bay area. I, (Ollie's foster person), was willing to drive him to the local humane society, where he received excellent care, but due to his medical needs was unadoptable. The shelter was willing to let me take him back in order to avoid euthanasia, a sad reality that many animals face due to lack of funding, not enough resources for people who wish to keep their pets, over breeding, the treating of pets as accessories, etc.

Ollie now lives with us as we make sure he gets the treatment he needs, plus some training so that this very wonderful beastie can find a forever home. As we help Ollie get back on his feet, his medical costs will mount. We already have several other pets and hadn't planned on taking in another one, but in order to save his life, we made room. He needs daily medication, medicated baths several times a weeek, as well as regular vet visits and will then need lifelong supplements and monitoring. 

We are hoping to raise at least $1,000 to go towards his care and his care alone (ie: I will not use the funds to pay for gas to the vet, or our time spent, etc.). Please consider giving an amount you are comfortable with - there are so many important people and animals who need funding, I'd rather you gave us $10 and someone else $10 as well, rather than giving us $20. 

When I met Ollie, I promised him that I had his back. Please help me fulfill that promise.
