This fundraiser is to support CAfRIC Family Day Workshop

Theme: Promoting Equity for African and Caribbean Black (ACB) Families by Bridging Information Gap.

Date: Saturday, Feb 16, 2019 from 12pm to 7pm at 1520 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, ON.

Free Admission for families

Presenters include a panel of professionals and members of the Black Community

Topics include:

  • Social Bullying and Anti-Black Racism Manifestations and Impact on ACB people
  • Cultural, Social and Economic barriers that impact mental health outcomes for ACB people
  • Risks, treatment options and overdose prevention measures for alcohol and opioid use
  • Personal stories of lived experiences forma youth and an adult on overcoming social bullying, immigration trauma and substance use.
